Ace Express Freight to Build Major New Logistics Centre in Partnership with Wavin

A landmark 3PL expansion in North County Dublin confirms Ace’s leadership in Irish logistics

Ace Express Freight is proud to announce a landmark partnership with global construction solutions leader Wavin, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing expansion as one of Ireland’s leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider.

Together, we are developing a new state-of-the-art logistics centre, customer facility, and office campus on an eight-acre site in Turvey, Blakes Cross—just off the M1 motorway in North County Dublin.

This facility will serve as the new central logistics and distribution hub for Wavin Ireland and underscores Ace Express Freight’s growing reputation as the 3PL partner of choice for global brands investing in Ireland.

Strategic Expansion to Meet Growing Demand
The new development will bring Ace Express Freight’s total warehousing and logistics footprint in the Fingal region to over 500,000 square feet, supporting a broader operational strategy focused on scalable, future-ready infrastructure.

“This partnership is a natural fit,” says Philip Tracey, CEO of Ace Express Freight. “Wavin is an innovator in their industry, and they needed a logistics partner who could offer speed, agility, and scalable warehousing aligned with long-term growth. This new centre will do just that, while also contributing to regional employment and economic development.”

Building on Momentum
The Wavin partnership is the latest in a series of strategic expansions and operational upgrades that have positioned Ace Express Freight as Ireland’s fastest-scaling independent logistics and 3PL provider.
-    We secured a 15-year anchor contract with a global retail brand, which is now driving the development of a major new purpose-built logistics hub in Dublin.
-    In Arklow, we launched a bespoke on-site 3PL solution for a manufacturing client, all integrated seamlessly with their production line. The operation went live within just six months of contract award.
-    In response to rising demand, we expanded our footprint with a state-of-the-art facility in Huntstown, offering 90,000 sq. ft. of premium warehousing and 12,000 pallet spaces.
-    We also completed a major refurbishment of our Blakes Cross HQ, including roof replacements, waterproofing, new solar panel infrastructure, and a redesigned canteen and breakout area.
Each of these milestones contributes to a singular vision: to deliver logistics solutions that are smarter, faster, and built for the future.

A Shared Vision for Growth
Wavin’s Commercial Director for UK & Ireland, Michael O’Donohoe, emphasised the value of the partnership:

“We are delighted to be partnering with the trusted expertise of Ace Express Freight to enhance our logistics capabilities. This collaboration will support our customer-focused operations and future growth in the Irish market.”

Alongside the logistics operations, the site will include a new Wavin Academy—an innovative training centre that aligns with Ace’s own commitment to learning, development, and cross-industry collaboration.

The Wavin project is a clear signal that Ace is not only ready for what’s next, we’re building it.
