This is an opportunity to work in a busy EU/operational environment. The main responsibilities of this role are to assist our European team in various tasks: planning, general administrative duties, and delivering an excellent customer experience throughout.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage all logistics admin, client communication and procurement documentation.
- Communicate effectively with our customer service department.
- Order placement.
- Maintain the flow of relevant information within the organization.
- Agree delivery schedule with customers; Assist with general customer queries.
- Planning all volumes effectively to ensure customer requirements are met and exceeded.
- Liaising closely with all hauliers to ensure service standards are met.
- Managing ships bookings.
- Liaising closely with customers and always maintaining highest levels of customer service.
- Co-ordinating with the warehouse team and planning daily workload.
- Updating in-house system and maintaining good records of all activities.
- Comply fully with the administration duties inclusive of investigating, sourcing, processing, and inputting into reports or other reports as requested in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support resources through effectively resolving service-related issues and/or queries while proactively reviewing the most effective approach.
- Support all continuous improvement initiatives including cross departmental projects through proactive engagement.
- Proactively support and fully comply with the Companies Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in other functions within Transport on a project basis when requested.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2 years minimum planning experience in a busy office environment.
- Ability to prioritise workload, self-motivated and driven. Ability to manage tasks and people.
- Professional approach in all aspects of the role and ability to follow through on queries until resolution is achieved.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Have excellent verbal and written English.
- The ability to communicate effectively across all departments within the company.
- Excellent organisational and teamwork skills.
- Professional and focused approach, pro-active “Can Do” attitude.
- Good Microsoft Office Skills: with strong word and excel skills.
- Continuous strive for excellence through process improvement practices.
